Day 1 Chinese New Year : First days of Chinese new year gives you the excuse to do

some crazy gambling, eat more than usual and of course the even bigger hunger for

red packets. Started off with dinner with the relatives and then a visit to my

grandparents.. A little of drinking at my aunts then over at Javiour's. Everything

after that was just hectic.. The craziest and most painful so far this year.

It has been tough...

The Handle Bar

Thank you The Handlebar for these beautiful 4 items! I had the honors to choose their

fantasy horse pullover, the black ring and their metal bracelet. The pullover was

definitely love at first sight.. i guess cause it just was really fantasy and crazy.. and i

love stuffs like that.. The black ring just reminded me of TVD and the metal bracelets

of mermaids.. What more can i ask for? 3 items that reminded me of my favorite things~

They were also nice enough to throw in their Lace vest that i'd be doing a video

on another time soon because i'm going to.... stud it!! I'm quite excited for it,

so i'm going to hunt for studs at the meantime..

The sweater came in a really good stretchy high quality cotton and the accessories

were in fantastic condition. Clean, no scratches and were as pretty as expected. Plus

what i loved the most was that they had it bubble wrapped and packed with

love in the smartpac box!

CHINATOWN Visitor Centre Launch

Just that day i was invited to attend the official media conference and launch

of the Chinatown Visitor Centre located just beside the Kreta Ayer Square, behind the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum.

The launch of this new Visitor Centre is for people to rediscover Chinatown on foot,

specially designed for walking tours. CBA plans to run the place and use it primarily as a

base to disseminate information and to organise events and activities.

They worked with Republic polytechnic singapore's students and the students were

dressed up as the well-likes characters of Chinatown heritage, Sum-sui womans,

Kopi uncles and etc!

This centre is hoping to enhance visitors' experience and encourage people to explore

Chinatown with a deeper understanding of its legacy of Singapore's history.

Chinatown has many impressive dining and shopping choices! Plus with this centre,

everyone's bound to enjoy Chinatown the way they want to!

Having a performance of a "water dragon" as this year is the dragon year!

Ribbon cutting ceremony for the launch of Chinatown Visitor's Centre...

The centre is themed "Old Chinatown" and the space was to remind the visitors of the old

Singapore heritage! with raw brick walls, wooden crate boxes and nostalgic black

and white photographs of bustling street life then.

The design is really modern yet with a twist of the past!

There's a towering feature wall used for multimedia screenings. An retail area for those on

hunt for souvenirs and merchandise featuring ranges of products centered on the

theme of the Chinatown heritage.

Tea leaves...

Plush dolls like samsui woman and kopi uncle that are hand sewn and

stuffed by the senior citizen from Kreta Ayer Community Centre!!

Other than that, the centre will also host a myriad of classes to revive some

"vanishing trades" like clog-shoe making, lantern making, Chinese

puppetry and opera singing!

Also received these goodie bags!! Thought that the bags were designed really well!

Really do feel that what Chinatown is doing of trying to engage our younger generation

is really something important. As a singaporean I believe that the kids these days should

know about their heritage. Many of the younger audiences don't know much of Singapore's

past. Plus there's much more in Chinatown that you've yet to know.

NAFA Open house 2012

This afternoon i made my way to Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) for their open

house. Tried to rush there in time after school.. But could only arrive early enough for

all the exhibitions except the Fashion studies section.. (SO TEMPTED TO GO TMR

AGAIN JUST SO I CAN SEE IT HAHAHA)

First headed to the orange house by NAFA Campus 1 to start the 'tour'.

When we were there, got greeted by the school leaders and volunteers for the open house.

There were like 'tour guides' around that you could ask to bring you around all the

NAFA Campuses! Which i thought was really good for an open house esp NAFA!

Because nafa is so 'far spread'! NAFA is humongous incase if you didn't know.

With 3 Campuses all along Bencoolen street!

They were selling really cute apparels...

Milk shakes!! * v *...

and many many more!

Two students came up to ask if i wanted to take an outfit photo for teenage magazine...

So obviously i said yes right? wahahhahah

There were many school students that came in school uniform too!!

Heading to Campus 1... I swear, it looks like an entire shopping mall!

Plus the place didn't feel like i was in singapore. I felt like i was in some movie!

The facilities were great and all the artsy fartsy stuff were getting in my head...

I felt like i was part of those pottery drama shows... HAHA

I stood by the door to take this photo and ran back to the lift... Hahaha

Sheena and freda kept calling for me cause i couldn't keep still!

So creative right (left) the way they painted the door!! And the sculpture (right)

reminded me of Pablo Picasso's sculptures! FAMOUS ARTIST IN THE MAKING~~

These photos attracted me instantly.. I find them really intriguing..

I'd love to do a version of that some day.

In to the fine arts room~~ The entire place smelled damn good (to an art kind of person).

Smelt like art and paint and paint and more paint!

So there's like those kind of podium thing where a model goes up and gets painted right?

Sheena just had to make me do this... Ok fine, i was rather willing..

The entire atmosphere just made me really jumpy and chirpy!!

And then that resorted to this picture....

Trying to look like the girl in the painting without laughing....

Then freda pointed out that i looked like the drawing on the whiteboard...

so i JUST had to!!!! ><

One of my fave paintings that i saw at NAFA. It was perfection..

Something i'd love to paint. The students are crazy creative and they have so much talent!

The paintings were AMAZING!

In the 'art teaching class'! I heard that the students get paid WHILE studying,

to teach art classes! When i heard it, i was so tempted to join NAFA immd...

What a privilege!

On to... Jewelry design! They brought us around to see the jewelry the students

have made and also the workshop to see how the pieces were made from scratch!

This was my ultimate favorite... If you know me personally, you'd know that i like

the ocean and sea and water and mermaids and fishes and all the aqua marine

kind of thing.. So this collection definitely took my breath away! I loved it!!!

This candy one was freda's favorite! It was so cute and pink and adorable..

Sheena said it was very Victoria Secret-ish!

Crowns that sheena demands me to make for her... I love them both! Very alice in the wonderland-ish!!

Another marine life jewelry... The students are geniuses i swear!!

Into the workshop...

Someone was there to actually teach us about how the entire process goes about...

After walking through the two exhibitions, we headed over to Seminar room

in campus 1 for some course counseling by lectures!

Creative light designs on my way out...

The trip was amazing and i had such a fun time, i cannot lie! The people were

friendly and the facilities were really good.. Workshops all felt like another

world when we stepped in them! Really didn't feel like it was a school anymore.. Very cool~

Plus when you go, you get a NAFA Tote bag with some goodies~~

See... As i poured everything out this crazy girl literally dived and tossed

and turned in everything!!

This book was what i was anticipating to read the whole time... the courses they offer,

the cut-off points and everything i needed to know about NAFA..

They also have a book where they have all the NEWS and articles from newspapers

collaged into one magazine for you to see how successful the students are!

I have to say, pretty impressed!!

Thank you Nanyang Polytechnic for having me during your

Night Open House last Friday! I had a blast the whole night watching all

the performance which started since 6pm!

I never knew the atrium could fit a hundred to two people (minimally)!

And best of it all, the gallery of all the diploma courses were just next to us!

Get ready to feast your eyes now!

As said in my previous post of Nanyang Poly Jam, the finals were held on the open

house itself! So i managed to watch the NYP Jam finals and i can tell you, the finalists

were jaw-dropping! They all sang really really well and i'm sure the 3 judges

had a really hard time choosing the winner...

Oh! & Shann and Rozz, the 98.7fm Djs were there to host the finals!

Took a break from the performances, and started exploring the Auditorium myself.

Like mentioned, it was just next to the stage. Technically, behind! Auditorium Lobby, Blk A level 1!

To my surprise, Nanyang Polytechnic had all 50 diploma courses under one roof!

They also recently introduced a new Diploma in Business Intelligence & Analytics!

Sounds cool already! I also managed to speak with the lecturers and students,

and seniors who have made NYP their choice.

Nanyang Polytechnic do have one of the best courses' showcases I've seen.

Just that day headed over to Portsdown road to the Wessex Tavern for a photo-shoot

with Struttt! Loved the ending photos and how creative they were with the shoot!

After the shoot had brunch alone to the cool air and pretty scenery... I loved the place..

The kind of place i'd go to just sit back relax and put everything at a pause!

2 bowls of clam chowders, an all-day breakfast and of course, coke. Not to forget the cupcake!

Just that day my dearest Sheena and a few friends booked a hotel at Pan pacific to just

simply enjoy a relaxing night cozed up in the aircon and pretty scenery. Before cozing

up we headed to dinner at Sakae sushi to fill our hungry stomachs.

Got back to the hotel and made ourselves comfortable on the couch watching

Victoria Secrets on Starworld while waiting for the rest to come! Somemore we all

went crazy while watching it, drooling over their gorgeous features and to-die-for bodies! Wahahah especially Kim and I.

Everyone that night just made my day! Chilling in the room and playing games..

Gave my 2012 an instant good start!

NYP 20th Anni Musical Homecoming!

Just that day, I was invited to attend Nanyang Poly's 20th Anniversary musical Homecoming!

They had a major concert of singing and dancing put up by the NYP Students!

It was damn GLEE like plus the script was really interesting and don't forget funny (You'll understand if you were there) There were so many students involved!!

And it was really nice and heartwarming to see all the students participating so enthusiastically!

I felt like I was watching a big family on stage, putting all their efforts together for us!!

Not to forget the amazing ending (which i didn't manage to take!)

The first day was more of exploring how the place was like.

Taking the look at the family restaurants, the 50 baht fish spas and of course the

best massage we could find in walking distance. Not to forget when you're in

Thailand you can never miss drinking the Thai Iced Milk Tea. Well the shopping

wasn't as expected but the amount of good looking boys were uncountable!

The streets roamed with so many 'ang mo" (Blondes/Americans/Europeans)!!

Felt like i was in America a little bit. But overall it was not bad! The first day was a pass!...

Don't laugh at my voice and pronunciation. Had flu and a piercing. Make fun... and i'll FUCK YOU UPSIDE DOWN.

Hair extensions.

Waiting for hair to grow is a chore. (We've all been there.) That's why i've made great friends with my hair extensions. Believe it or not the best way (I feel) for long hair in an instant is Clip-on extensions! Of course there are other types of hair extensions and all of them, including clip-ons have their pros and cons. (I'll only talk about the ones more commonly found) But all extension's first pro is obviously helping to add volume and thickness to your hair and give you long hair in an instant.

1. Weft/Glue based extensions

Pros : They're permanent, meaning you have gorgeous thick hair everyday for up to 6 months. Plus, they're easy to maintain if you have the correct guidelines. It also looks really natural. But i don't know where you can get this done with professional help other than getting those self-do ones online. It can be applied easy with some help of your friends and because of its glued-attached, it’s even one of the most secure extension ideas.

Cons : The glue is definitely going to damage your natural hair, causing split ends. So, you should require a trim after your remove of extensions.

When you have the extra long extensions, the added weight will pull on your scalp and may cause some discomfort and thinning of your real hair, even pain and headaches. It also can require 4+ hours for application depending on the amount of strands needed on your head! Many of these extensions are applied with "glue guns" which are messy! These glues aren't really compatible with the human hair and may cause unnecessary damage! Like all other extensions, these can slide out of your head when you least expect them to!

2. Braiding/Micro link (Metal clips) extensions

One of the most common yet deadliest extension method!

Pros : These type of extensions can get you really natural hair if you do your entire head. You get your dream hair style in an instant and Singapore is filled so many stores that does Braiding or Micro link extensions!!

Cons : The first con is the fact that they are not cheap for the most part, as those who need numerous extensions often end up spending 200+ to 300+ (Depending on how thick your hair is.).

Micro links can slip down the hair shaft and need frequent moving up. The hair used is typically low quality and will start to look tacky after a few months. Plus, when heat is applied to the metal rings, such as a blow dryer or hair straightener, the metal amplifies the heat on the hair inside it resulting in breakage.

Removal can also be a major issue because it can cause split ends, burning, or even bald spots. Just like the glue based ones, the added weight will pull on your scalp and may cause some discomfort and thinning of your real hair. Experienced by my mum, You will lose a lot of hair. Like all other extensions, these can slide out of your head when you least expect them to!

Long story short, Your hair is going to go through hell!!

3. Clip-on/Clip-in extensions

Pros : Clip-on extensions are temporary extensions and they're quick to apply for special occasions. They are generally not as expensive as the rest! And you can remove them anytime you want, which will not result in hair loss or severely damaged hair or scalp!

Cons : You need to take real good care of them and also you could get bald spots from the clips if they're not clipped properly. Clip-ons are a bit more tedious to maintain because they need to be washed and dried separately from your own hair. If your hair is not thick enough, the clip-ins should be avoided because your hair may not be thick enough to hide the clips! (Which i doubt happens honestly) And when you get a little rough, the clip-ins get... "unclipped".

So if you've read everything, I'm sure you'd agree with me that

the Clip-ons are the better ones right?

Now i'll tell you how you can take care of them! (

Cleaning and Maintaining your Clip-on/Clip-in extensions

Cleaning and maintaining it is pretty simple. I do encourage you to get real hair extension not synthetic ones because it'll be a lot less troublesome. Washing the extensions is the exact same process as cleaning your own hair!

How to? After showering, I will go back to the toilet with all the extensions in one hand.

01. Tie the top (Clips area) tightly closely. You have try your best to not get the clips to get wet incase they start rusting. (But no one really cares about that)

02. Comb through them just incase it doesn't get too tangled while shampooing!

03. Wet the hair entirely, Make sure the insides get damped too if you want it really clean.

04. Shampoo, Rinse, Condition (Leave on for at least 3 mins), Rinse. *Do make sure you rinse the extensions really well you don't want to have areas where there is still shampoo or whatever. Like your real hair it'll get stickier.

05. Dry it with a hair dryer. I normally just untie them, and dry them individually or two by two. I use a diffuser attached to a hair dryer and sit there to dry them. Try not to let it dry itself, because the effect and feel after that is really different (PROVEN BY ME) HAHA.

To maintain your hair all you really have to do is to make sure during your crazy nights partying or adrenaline rides on a bike, you hair doesn't get caught in vomit or in a tangle. Just like your real hair you can give it bait of treatment products. NOT TOO MUCH, you don't want them to look oily and fake. Just a good amount, Rub it in your palms and gently go through the whole bunch.

Making it look natural

Colour : This is why i encourage you to get those real hair extensions because you can only dye and heat (Rebond, Perm, etc) the real ones! Bring them to a salon and ask if they would do it for you if not, get those DIY ones from the supermarket and dye the extensions yourself.

Normally if your extensions are in a darker colour, you'll have to keep the dye on longer because it needs to get INTO the hair. Being already a "dead" hair, it can't "eat" the dye as fast as your normal hair!

Arranging : I have this toilet mirror thing where you it's mounted on the wall in the toilet. So just like the same effect any mirror to mirror can give, I can get to see the back of my head. Which makes it easy for me to see how Natural it is.

Making it look natural is something you have to experiment with. You have to play with the pieces and just keep adjusting till you're happy!!

Spent my thursday dressed down and the weekends with too much alcohol.

This week has been rather horror... Really don't get what is.. Call me miss

comforted with you. But that's not it anymore is it?.. You say things and make it

seem like it means something but i don't see it i really don't.

I feel like giving up.

NYP JAM! 2012

I'm sure you guys have heard of this before right? Yes NYP Jam!!

I was over at Nanyang Polytechnic for the NYP JAM Auditions.

Incase you don't know what NYP Jam is about, how bout i'll explain to you in a jiffy now!

Every year, students form NYP and secondary schools around singapore are welcomed to participate in this singing / music talent contest. The finalists will then be called down for a final show down at the NYP Night Opening house the following year (Auditions normally held around Nov - Dec)!

There were about 85 participants that auditioned and i mean come on, it's like watching Singapore Idol! Super exciting and interesting! You get to see all different kinds of talents

Plus what's the most eye-catching? The prizes right? What's a competition without FANTASTIC PRIZES?

How great no? So yes buckle up and start preparing for next year auditions!!

I had a fun time at NYP Jam auditions plus it was fun exploring the school. The coolest part i was amazed about the school was that they had like a cafe in their school library... I don't know but me and Freda were so amazed! Super pretty and chill... K anyway,

Riders cafe with my friend Hong Quan. It's been long since i had such a nice on-time

dinner. After that walked around in town and managed to catch the movie

"You are the apple of my eye". One of the best show i've watched so far. Very meaningful

and the ending was the amazing part about the show. Hilarious and meaningful..

D3: Eight ways to win your heart.

(This was not as easy as i thought i guess it's just not easy pleasing me)

01. The number one thing to win my heart be it as a friend or boy, is to be

who you are. I hate people who pretend to be someone they're not...

Like really, i don't see the point of having to suck-up to another person

just so you want to earn that person's "attention". So pointless and irritating

. I ESPECIALLY hate it when girls ACT DUMB. Super turn off okay...

(p.s It really doesn't make you cute to act stupid. It makes you look FUCKING stupid.)

Whatever it is, I just hate stupid people or stupid things.

I've been playing this game on my iPhone called "Pet pony" and the fucking turtle butler

just makes the ponies that come into the shop so pissed cause he is so fucking stupid

and slow. I just have grown this hate for all turtles after playing that game....

Grrr.. I know it sound stupid but it just annoys me.

02. Sing any Jay Chou song while playing a piano.

Cannot emphasize how madly talented and dashing he looks.

03. Be smart with how you dress, I like it a lot when people can dress well.

04. Always make an effort. I really like it when people make an effort to make me

happy or put me in front of them for awhile hahah.. who doesn't right?

04. Oh! And another very important way of winning is being respectful and grateful.

Ultimately i think in order for someone to give another person respect

(esp someone younger or of "lower position" than you)

is not something easy and it takes a lot of maturity to fully respect another person.

That's why i can't stand when guys disrespect girls or when girls go hatin' and bit chin'

just cause they feel like it. I mean... give me the decency of some human respect man!

Ungrateful people... These kind of people make the chinese term "好心没好报"

(Which means like there's no good comeback having a good heart) so fucking true.

So, fuck all you disrespectful and ungrateful chee-toots.

05. "Tell me your secrets, Ask me your questions.." Tell me everything and ask me anything.

Never be afraid. And always remember that it's okay to be angry and sad, lovely and satisfied.

06. (It get's a little tough from here now...) Be fluttery with your words.

I like magical quotes and words that make my insides flutter. Something sweet would be nice as

well. 07. Buy me a pair of shoes.. (You'd probably win my heart at an instant)

08. (Finally it felt like forever) Spend quality time and big warm hugs.

I'm a person that builds on quality time and my love language is physical contact,

which explains why i like hugs and cuddles... Especially during rainy days.

Was out with Tricia for some walking around. Went to CM beauty at

lucky plaza and re-did my nails to just a simple colour, Grey.

Removed my gel extensions and now everything is so much

easier to do with short nails! Now my nails are my actual real nails

so it feels much more comfortable! hehe After that Tricia and I had some

good food around 6th Avenue, at Island Creamery!!

D2 : Ten ~~Nine~~ things about yourself.

01. I try to keep my face as clean as possible. Just the simple thought of having

a scarred or pimpled face just kills me instantly.. Which is one of the reasons

why i go into anti-go-out mode when the monthly skin problems

react. 02. I keep anything but black sauce in my food diet. The fear of

scarring my legs scare me. Especially with all the partying and obviously,

i'm not the most feminine person in the world so my legs are bound to get

cuts and bruises. So better save than sorry no? 03. Eyebrows are very

important to me.. I feel naked without make-up to begin with.. imagine

without eyebrows.. I WILL DIE. Really. 04. I love shopping i believe that retail

therapy does wonders and brings certain amount of happiness. 05. I'm materialistic and

i'm not scared to admit it. I mean COME ON. We all are okay.....

(Even if it's just a little) We like good looking people and pretty things.. 06. I have

constant ideas of change of wardrobe and it fails all the time. Plus my

wardrobe is exploding i need to clear it soon. 07. I'm basically a workaholic

at my age. Yes i like enjoying and having a break, or many breaks but i get so

uncomfortable when i have NOTHING to do. I love working or doing something.

#Geminis can't keep still. 08. Boys with nice hair, pretty tattoos and

maybe a goatee is a huge thumbs up.. Don't judge. But obviously all that wouldn't

matter if he couldn't dress so... yes. 09. I dream weird dreams, jump in bed when

i feel like i'm falling & I think a lot.. i mean ALOT. sometimes i over do it. And talking

about weird, I LOVE weird/ugly cartoons or pictures... i don't know why, but it appeals!

10. I like realistic, pratical, mature and sensible people. Like how, i like it when someone who

doesn't like me, tells it in my face than to act friendly and all. I like people who

aren't afraid hanging out with people their friends hate. Like how people

(esp. when it's guys; it's jaw-dropping) can say "That's their problem, I don't care".

I also like people with an amazing tendency to never feel shy or embarrassed.

Eg. If i like you, i'm not afraid to say it and i'm not afraid for you

to tell me anything you're not pleased about.

Went for the FEIST & HEIST opening at BlackMarket No.2 at Orchard Central

last Thursday! Haven't seen those i saw at the opening in the longest time. It was

definitely nice... Plus the very alcoholic drink that was given out HAHAHA.

what this is and how it works right?

Spent an entire day with Tyson and his family because he gave me an almost mission impossible task. He wanted me to paint a exact replica of this.....

with the palm trees and all.... And we were all so sure i would fail terribly! so we started painting.... (After like an full solid 1 and half hours of sketching)

We decided to forget about the stupid palm trees and added in a ferris wheel! Quite chioooo right! Tyson's new room is a must see! Super pretty!

His crazy long open wardrobe!!

And super organized table!

Ok... So not only was the painting process painful and required much of effort, 2 nails dropped off. So i had my nails done in JB arund 3 days before the painting day and while painting two nails literally just peeled off. HOW HORRIBLE RIGHT!?

And i got a hair show this coming wednesday on a runway all. How can i let people see my horrible nails RIGHT? HAHAH So i decided to make an appointment with....

CM Beauty @ Lucky plaza ($06-023) to get all the extensions RE-DONE the right way and halloween nail art done! And you've got to agree they did a splendid job!

Most importantly and amazingly, the person that did my nails was a GUY. Super amazed la! I don't even care if he's gay or whatever it's damn amazing. (And don't be offended. I LOVE GAYS.)

He was so hardworking lor. Didn't even take a break!! Like damn into it! The shop was also super cosy! Got flat screen TV for you to watch all! (PLUS ALOT LADYGAGA MV. HAHAH)

Unfortunately, Sam the artist was so hardworking i didn't have any free hand to take pictures of any of the process or shop before my phone died!! hahah

Had Brunch with Adelyn at Hatched. Enjoyed probably one of the best early meals i've ever had in my life. Everything in the menu has everything to do with eggs and the store's so cozy.

After that we headed over to Ann Siang Hill at Chinatown for some Oakham Market then Asylum. Then we made our way town area. Plus Adelyn got herself her pair of Red Litas. Retail therapy does wonders!! YAY Shopping!

Headed over to Cineleisure for Apollo 18 with Dew and Samuel. IF YOU HAVE THIS CRAZY PHOBIA OF ALIENS LIKE ME, I WARN YOU FIRST. DON'T WATCH IT. Half way through that crazy show i covered my entire face with my bag. I was literally trembling in my damn seat. AND, If you're not scared of aliens, you should be. GO WATCH FOURTH KIND. You confirm scared!! SUMPA! No lie..

Anyway these few weeks have been good for me despite getting sick, it's just two more dreadful days of school before the holidays finally kick start. Have a great weekend ahead sweethearts xoxo

So today, Decided to be the "Uhhmazing" sister and gave my little brother and his friend Darren a treat to some McDonalds!!! Remember the last time i blogged about the McDonalds bus that was parading around town? And that they had something wack coming our way? Spent our week preparing and planning for Erica's surprise! Left the house to get my hair dyed and I'm really happy about it! Thanks to Tyson... Rushed back home and out again to meet the rest. 1. The ignorant stupid fools that are stuck in their fucking drama world, who choose to believe that so long as you've got money in your pocket you're unfriendly, stuck up and mean...

2. The people who thinks that so long as you have nice things and get to enjoy your life automatically you're a brat who can't treat your family properly, have no goals and just a spoilt brat.

3. People who think that they can read my mind, do palm reading or tell my future or something.

4. And people who actually think you're cool (Ya i bhb abit ok, because they really seem like they mean it that way. let me assume. i like to assume) and get disappointed when they find out from some girl that you're a loner and don't care about how you look in school.
